With over 45 years of
Fishing experience, my first
catch was a Native
Steelhead Trout at the age
of 5, while on the Trinity
River in Northern California
with my Dad, and Uncles!
That was the first time I
was introduced to fly
fishing, and I can still
recall the feeling of
uncontrollable excitement as
my Grandpa's 1928 Bamboo
Winchester fly rod flexed,
and then came alive in my
tiny little hands. The sheer
power and beauty of that
fish when the
sun glistened off the
silvery
red gill plate was like the 4th of
July in my book. Little did I know
then, that it would become a
life changing memory,
indelibly etched in my minds
eye forever, and the
beginning of a lifelong
passion (obsession) for chasing Silver!
